Burley: Arsenal can't afford to let Aubameyang leave (1:25)

Craig Burley believes Arsenal must go all-out to keep Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang at the Emirates next season. (1:25)

The English domestic season is wrapped up now, and so is half of the last Serie A matchday of the season. Here, then, are the best numbers of the day.

FA Cup

Arsenal beat Chelsea thanks to a brace from their captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, and naturally he features heavily.

1

Aubameyang is the first African captain in the competition's history to lift the FA Cup trophy.

Also, 1

Mikel Arteta is the first Arsenal manager to win a major trophy in their first season in charge of the club, since George Graham in 1986-87.

3

In the past 50 years, only three players have scored a brace in both the semi-final and final of a single FA Cup campaign -- Alan Taylor (1975, West Ham), Ian Rush (1986, Liverpool), and now Aubameyang. The Arsenal skipper is the first in the PL era to achieve the feat.

6

Mateo Kovacic is the sixth player to be sent off in an FA Cup final, the last two have been Chelsea players (Kovacic, and Victor Moses v Arsenal in 2017).

14

Arsenal have won the FA Cup for the 14th time -- the most of any team. They are also the first side to beat the same opponent on three separate occasions in an FA Cup final.

69

More Auba magic. Since making his debut for Arsenal in Feb 2018, he has scored more goals (all competitions) than any other PL player -- 69 (one more than Mohamed Salah).

Serie A

Saturday involved the majority of the top half playing each other, and while there was no meaningful impact on the final table, there were some interesting numbers that popped up.

5

Just how dominant have champions Juventus been over the past few years in Serie A? The last time they lost consecutive league matches was five years ago, August 2015!

36

The stat of the weekend. Ciro Immobile has ended this season with 36 goals in Serie A this season, equalling the record of goals scored in a single league campaign set by Gonzalo Higuain in 2015-16. Immobile has won the European Golden Shoe, beating Robert Lewandowski (34 goals) and Cristiano Ronaldo (31 goals). Since you asked, Lionel Messi was fifth on the charts (25 goals).

38, 302

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is the oldest player to score 10 or more goals in a single Serie A campaign (38 years and 302 days). And he has been there for just half the season -- his 10 goals came in 18 games.

78

This has been a high-scoring Italian season, point-wise. Just to give you an idea of how high, Lazio's 78 points means they have picked up the most points in a single Serie A campaign (78) without ending the season in the top three.

82

More in the same vein -- Inter picked up 82 Serie A points this season, equalling their performance in 2009/10, under Jose Mourinho. It is the first time that Inter have earned 79+ points in a single season without winning the Scudetto in the three points-for-a-win era
