T1, Invictus Gaming undefeated in League of Legends World Championship groups

SK Telecom T1 and Invictus Gaming moved to 2-0 in group play after Day 2 of the Worlds 2019 Main Event on Sunday at the $2.2 million League of Legends event.

Sixteen teams, divided into four groups, are participating in the group stage, which features a double round-robin format and best-of-one series. The top two teams from each group after eight days of play will advance to the knockout stage, where matches are best of five.

SKT beat Royal Never Give Up for their second consecutive win, while Invictus defeated Team Liquid to earn their second straight victory.

In other action on Sunday, Fnatic (1-1) topped Clutch Gaming (0-2); DAMWON Gaming (1-1) beat ahq e-Sports Club (0-2); G2 Esports (1-0) earned a win in their first round of action vs. Griffin (0-1); and Cloud9 (1-0) also claimed their first win by beating Hong Kong Attitude (0-1).
