— Jermaine Brown Jr. ran for three touchdowns, Dylan Hopkins added two TD passes and UAB beat UTEP 42-25 on Friday in the regular-season finale for both teams.

Six schools -- Florida Atlantic, Charlotte, North Texas, UTSA, Rice and UAB -- have accepted invitations to join the American Athletic Conference.
The AAC is expected to send Florida Atlantic, Charlotte, North Texas, UTSA, Rice and UAB formal letters by the end of the week detailing the terms of expansion after the schools officially requested to join the conference, a source told ESPN.
— Dylan Hopkins threw for one touchdown and ran for another to lead UAB to a 34-0 win over Southern Miss on Saturday.
