Betting blog: Harry Kane tipped to fire for England in Euro clash with Scotland

Saturday morning, Wembley

One of the oldest rivalries in football kicks off a memorable weekend of Euro 2020 action when England takes on Scotland.

England kicked off their tournament with a 1-0 win over Croatia and I think they will be two-for-two at the end of 90 minutes here.

Gareth Southgate's side come into the contest off the back of seven-straight wins and if they make it eight in a row, they will progress to the Round of 16. I liked the way they began against Croatia but the only concern was they didn't put away any of those chances early. If they are to go deep into this tournament they need to be ruthless in front of goal.

The Three Lions definitely have the firepower up front to trouble the Scottish defence with Harry Kane being an obvious choice for those looking to play the first goalscorer market.

Scotland was undone 2-0 by the Czech Republic in the opening match with Patrik Schick responsible for the damage. He bagged a double including one from nearly halfway which went viral!

The Scots haven't been in bad form either coming into this game with three draws and two wins prior to that loss the other day.

On paper you would think England is too strong but the 'Auld Enemy' in Scotland will rise to the occasion and you have to factor in emotion and pride in this one.

I am tipping England to win, however, they are no value from a punting proposition. Instead, let's go Harry Kane to bag the first goal as the play in this one.

TIP: Harry Kane (First Goalscorer) @ $3.50
