Power Rankings: Titans move up slightly

Tennessee rebounded, but it remains in the bottom half of our list. That said, the Titans have a very friendly schedule moving forward.

Marcus Mariota didn't suffer any setbacks following MNF. Corey Davis and Johnathan Cyprien won't play vs. Browns with their hamstring injuries. Derrick Morgan is day-to-day with an abdominal strain. DeMarco Murray had a little hamstring tightness but he returned to the game.

FPI: Titans getting second wind?

Tennessee's win over Indianapolis on Monday night changed the sails on what were fading playoff chances in ESPN's FPI. The Titans' chance to win the AFC South took a chunk out of Jacksonville's once-firm grip on the division race.

Titans WR Rishard Matthews was invited to Tuesday's NFL meetings, but could not attend because he played in MNF. Matthews, who has been vocal in his right to protest and stance against racial injustice, sent in a letter instead, per his agent.

Credit Titans DC Dick LeBeau for making second half adjustments. They sent more blitzes, 9, at Jacoby Brissett in 2nd half. They got 6 pressures. Brissett went 2-9 for 17 yards. Brissett completed just 45-percent of his passes for 93 yards in the second half.

RBBC alert! Derrick Henry (40) outsnapped DeMarco Murray (38). But Henry (20 for 145 yards, TD) and Murray (16 for 87 yards, TD) both got plenty of touches. Great recipe for Titans offensive success going forward. And a reminder that every Taywan Taylor snap is a good one.

Browns CB Jason McCourty instantly knew Deshaun Watson "is going to be really good," changed Texans offense. Compared his value to Andrew Luck, Marcus Mariota.

Mariota dominated with play-action

Marcus Mariota relied heavily on play-action fakes in Monday night's win, completing 10 of 11 such passes for 185 yards and the game-winning 53-yard TD pass to Taywan Taylor in the fourth quarter. Mariota tied his career high with 10 play-action completions and set a new single-game career high for yards. (ESPN Stats & Info)

Titans ran "slant 35 deuce" four times in a row to DeMarco Murray on 15-play go-ahead TD drive. Big to punch it in after red zone struggles.

Finally! Titans end 11-game skid to Colts with 36-22 win

Marcus Mariota threw a 53-yard touchdown pass to Taywan Taylor with 5:29 left , and the Tennessee Titans beat the Indianapolis Colts 36-22 on Monday night to snap an 11-game skid tied for the NFL's longest active losing streak against one team.

Really impressed with Titans QB Marcus Mariota tonight. Clearly limited by that hamstring injury, Tennessee took out the boot and sprint passes in the game plan. All pocket throws. And Mariota still finished with 306 yards passing (23-of-32) with one touchdown and one interception.

Henry puts cherry on top with 72-yard TD (0:51)

Cameron Wolfe ESPN Staff Writer

Derrick Henry with the exclamation point. One finally pops. Titans are going to end the 11-game losing streak against the Colts.

Brissett stopped on crucial fourth-and-1 (1:09)

Play-action with a deep corner route from Titans WR Taywan Taylor on the TD. That's tough on any two-deep coverage if the safety doesn't stay on top of the route. And with no help from the CB underneath, QB Marcus Mariota had a clear window to throw that ball.

Cameron Wolfe ESPN Staff Writer

Eric Decker also having his best day as a Titan: seven catches for 88 yards and a few huge first downs.

Mariota hits Taylor for the big TD (0:53)
