Quarterback Andrew Luck (shoulder) would be able to play his first complete game in 19 months if he had to today, according to coach Frank Reich. Luck, who would likely still be a little rusty after missing all of last season, has participated in practice everyday so far during the team's three-week training camp. Luck, barring any kind of setback, is expected to play into the second quarter of Monday's preseason game against Baltimore after playing two series against Seattle on Aug. 9.

A consistent throughout training camp is that center Ryan Kelly and guards Quenton Nelson and Matt Slauson continue to give Andrew Luck a pocket to work with throwing wise in the middle. Now Indy needs left tackle Anthony Castonzo (hamstring) back and to figure out who will start at right tackle for them

The star of the Colts WRs vs. Baltimore's DBs so far has been Indy's Kasen Williams. The second-year WR out of the University of Washington is catching everything thrown his way. The Colts are looking for somebody to replace rookie Deon Cain, who is out for the season with a torn ACL.

There's a possibility that safety Clayton Geathers (knee), who has been slowing increasing his snaps in practice, could make his debut against the Baltimore Ravens on Aug. 20. Geathers opened training camp on the physically unable to perform list. “I think these next few days will tell," coach Frank Reich said. "I think we are hoping that he can be ready. There's just a confidence in it. A lot of that comes from the player. It's a combination of talking with the trainers and the doctors. When a guy is ready and healthy, sometimes there's just that last emotional step of, ‘Hey, I'm ready to go out there and go full speed for 20 plays or whatever it is.' That's a team process to get through that, but hopefully, he will be ready to go.”

Colts QB Andrew Luck, talking for the first time since the end of the preseason opener at Seattle on Aug. 9, said he was "tired" and "exhausted" after playing in his first game since Week 17 of the 2016 season. "I think emotionally I was worn out, and honestly it was probably the redeye home after the game," he said. "You know it makes you feel things a little extra, turns the volume up, but I felt physically okay, just energy-wise very low.”

The plan - as of now - is for Colts QB Andrew Luck to play even more in the Aug. 20 preseason game against the Baltimore Ravens. Luck played two series (6-of-9 for 64 yards) against Seattle on Aug. 9. Luck did not practice on Saturday. "We had planned this day off back a couple of weeks ago really for him to get his full deal physically to kind of put some stuff back into the body," coach Frank Reich said.

The Colts have signed defensive end Ryan Delaire and released safety Shamarko Thomas. Delaire has 13 tackles and 3.5 sacks in stops with Washington and Carolina. Thomas was the first player to be ejected from a game under the NFL's new rule governing helmet hits when he was kicked out of the preseason game against Seattle on Aug. 9.

Colts safety 1st to be ejected for new helmet rule

Colts safety Shamarko Thomas was ejected with 5:43 left in the team's preseason opener against the Seahawks when he lowered his head and made helmet-to-helmet contact with WR David Moore.

Andrew Luck makes return as Colts beat Seahawks 19-17

Andrew Luck returned to game action for the first time since the final week of the 2016 season, leading Indianapolis on a pair of field-goal drives in just over a quarter in the Colts' 19-17 victory over the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday night.

Colts safety Shamarko Thomas was ejected from the game for an unsportsmanlike penalty when he violated the new helmet rule. Thomas lowered his head and hit the Seahawks receiver helmet to helmet.

Colts rookie Nyheim Hines is having a rough debut as the return specialist. He muffed a punt, which followed him having a punt hit off his body before the Colts recovered it and earlier having to take a knee on a returnable kickoff because he dropped the kick. Having all that speed back there is pointless if Hines can't hold onto the ball.

Colts' Luck: First game in 585 days 'felt natural'

Colts quarterback Andrew Luck, playing his first game since Week 17 of the 2016 season, went 6-for-9 for 64 yards Thursday night in two series, each of which ended in a field goal.

Colts quarterback Andrew Luck was sharp on his first drive against the Seahawks. Luck, who missed the entire 2017 season, completed 5-of-7 passes for 55 yards and led Indianapolis to a field goal on its opening possession.

The Colts first drive ended with Andrew Luck being tackled by Bobby Wagner for the first time since Week 17 of the 2016 season when he scrambled for a 1-yard gain. The offense looks completely different with a lot of quick throws. Luck was 5-of-7 for 55 yards on that drive.

Andrew Luck and the Colts offense will get the ball first. Luck isn't expected to play longer than a quarter.
