Wilks: Disappointing loss to say the least (0:36)
Rosen and Fitzgerald connect in loss to Raiders (1:31)

Life can't get any worse for the Cardinals. They lost to the formerly 1-8 Oakland Raiders on Sunday, 23-21, on a last-second field goal. Arizona had a chance to ice the game throughout the fourth quarter and simply failed to do so. The Cardinals now fall to 2-8 and, with a tough remaining schedule, may be in a position to not win a game the rest of the season.

The first half of Cardinals-Raiders was one of the uglier halves of the season and it ended tied at 14. Josh Rosen helped keep the Raiders in it with two picks and a muffed snap. The Raiders scored both their touchdowns off Cardinals' turnovers. However, Arizona showed life in the running game early behind David Johnson, who has 53 yards on 13 carries.

Mahomes throws 2 TD passes as Chiefs beat Cardinals 26-14

Patrick Mahomes threw for 249 yards and two touchdowns, outplaying Arizona counterpart Josh Rosen in a matchup of two of the NFL's bright young quarterbacks, and the Kansas City Chiefs rolled past the Cardinals 26-14 on Sunday.

The Arizona Cardinals (+15.5) lose 26-14, but cover against the Chiefs. Kansas City drops to 8-2 ATS on the season.

The Cardinals fell to 2-7 with a 26-14 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs that showed two things: David Johnson is back and the offensive line is a liability to get Josh Rosen hurt. Johnson had his best game this year, finishing with 98 rushing and 85 passing yards for 183 from scrimmage. Rosen, however, was sacked 5 times and hit 13 times.

Larry Fitzgerald's 15-yard catch with 4:01 left in the game Sunday against the Chiefs moved him past Terrell Owens into second-place on the NFL's all-time receiving yards list. Owens had 15,934 and Fitzgerald needed 33 yards to pass him heading into Sunday. He finally got it late in the game and now has 15,939 and counting. Only Jerry Rice is ahead of him, sitting in first with 22,895 yards.

The Cardinals made this look like a game early, tying it at 7 midway through the first quarter. Then Arizona's offense all but disappeared while its defense tried to keep the Cardinals in the game with four first-half sacks of Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes. But the defensive effort wasn't matched, as the Cardinals trailed 20-7 at halftime.

How Josh Rosen found his confidence

From the moment he stepped onto an NFL field, Josh Rosen has exuded confidence. His pedigree and early success on the tennis court account for that.
