NCAA College Football heads into a new era this month with LIVE coverage on ESPN of the inaugural College Football Playoff to crown a new national champion.
The four teams to make the playoffs faceoff at the Rose Bowl Game and Allstate Sugar Bowl, both airing LIVE on ESPN, before the victors head off to Arlington, Texas, for the College Football Championship Game. Meanwhile, the CFP also includes other popular games such as the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl, Fiesta Bowl and Discover Orange Bowl (all airing on short-turnaround on ESPN2).
Defending national champion Florida State (ACC) started the season pegged as a CFP contender, and there they remain while certain other preseason favorites have dropped in the rankings, such as the Big-12’s Oklahoma, Pac-12’s Oregon and SEC power Alabama. Meanwhile, surprise contenders have shaken up the rankings by joining Florida State on top, among them Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Baylor and Notre Dame. The CFP promises to be very interesting.
Don’t miss a touchdown with coverage on ESPN and ESPN2, airing LIVE and on short-turnaround, of the College Football Playoff and the crowning of a new national champion at the College Football Championship Game in Arlington, Texas. Also featured are pre- and post-game shows covering key games as well as the Championship Game.
