Permutations for the NBL finals campaign

A CLOSER LOOK AT THE RACE FOR THE NBL MINOR PREMIERSHIP:

PERTH WILDCATS (17-9, percentage 106.7):

* Play 36ers (h) on Friday; United (a) on Sunday

* In the box seat because of their superior percentage. The eight-time champions can lose to Adelaide but still finish top if victorious in Melbourne

MELBOURNE UNITED (17-9, 104.2):

* Play Taipans (h) on Thursday; Wildcats (h) on Sunday

* The defending champs must deal with Cairns midweek to ensure Sunday's regular-season finale is a straight shootout for the minor premiership

SYDNEY KINGS (17-10, 102.3):

* Play Taipans (h) on Saturday

* Lose to Cairns and they'll be third regardless. Win and the Kings can improve to second but they'd need Perth or Melbourne to lose twice

BATTLE FOR FOURTH:

ADELAIDE 36ers (14-13, 100.4):

* Play Wildcats (a) on Friday

* Will clinch fourth if they cause an upset in Perth

BRISBANE BULLETS (13-14, 100.7):

* Play NZ Breakers (h) on Saturday

* Need Adelaide to lose to the Wildcats and must then overcome the seventh-placed Breakers to edge the 36ers on percentage.
