Lakers' Ball (ankle sprain) to miss 4-6 weeks

Lakers point guard Lonzo Ball is expected to miss 4-6 weeks after an MRI revealed a Grade 3 left ankle sprain suffered Saturday night against the Rockets, the team announced Sunday.

The Lakers say Lonzo Ball will be out at least a month to six weeks with a Grade 3 left ankle sprain following an MRI. Ball was in the midst of his best stretch of basketball for the season and now he won't be back until after the All-Star break at the earliest.

Lakers' Ball carried off court with sprained ankle

Lakers point guard Lonzo Ball was carried off the court by two teammates after spraining his left ankle in the third quarter against the Rockets on Saturday night. X-rays were negative, the team announced.
