D'Antoni: Rockets 'played soft' in record rout

Mike D'Antoni and the Rockets cited a lack of aggression in their lopsided Game 3 loss to the Warriors on Sunday, the worst playoff loss in the franchise's history.

Steph Curry's shimmy returns in Game 3, and so does his shot

Welcome to the Western Conference finals, Steph Curry. The two-time MVP dropped 35 points and caught fire during a third-quarter blitz as Golden State rolled to a 41-point Game 3 rout of Houston.

Draymond, Ariza receive double technical (1:17)

Stephen Curry didn't begin Game 3 with a strong start. After a miss at the 2:46 mark of the second quarter, the Warriors star point guard was just 2-of-10 from the field and 1-of-7 from 3-point range. At that juncture, he had just five points. But the two-time NBA MVP then went on a blistering tear, hitting 11 of his next 12 field goal attempts, including four straight from 3-point range, giving him 35 points with 5:11 left in the fourth quarter.

Draymond Green wraps up Trevor Ariza with a hard foul and Ariza pushes him. Both are hit with technicals. Green doesn't understand why he's hit with one.

Stephen Curry erupted for 18 points in a third quarter in which the Warriors had built a lead of 28 on the Rockets. Heading into the final quarter, Golden State leads 88-67. Curry with 27, Durant has 25.

Oracle holds moment of silence for Santa Fe victims

Oracle Arena paid tribute to the victims of the Santa Fe High School tragedy with a moment of silence before Game 3 of the Western Conference finals. The Rockets are also discussing plans for Thursday's Game 5.

The Warriors have been dominant in third quarters and with 10-0 runs -- and they just opened the third quarter of Game 3 with a 10-0 run in a quick 1:52 to take a 21-point lead over the Rockets.

Chris Haynes ESPN Staff Writer

Make that now a 10-0 run to begin the third for the Warriors after Kevin Durant drains a triple. Durant has a game-high 20 points thus far. The defending champs have a 21-point lead.

Golden State starts the third on a 7-0 run to increase its lead over Houston to 18.

Credit the Warriors' defense for stifling the Rockets at the rim, but Houston has also missed some easy shots at point-blank range. In fact, with 13 missed layups in the first half, the Rockets have already tied for their most in a game this postseason -- and they missed nine of those in the second quarter alone. All told, the Rockets shot just 43 percent (9-21) in the restricted area in the first half, tied for their worst in a half this postseason, according to ESPN Stats & Information.

Stephen Curry's 3-point woes continue early on in Game 3 against the Rockets, as the Warriors star shot 1-of-6 from beyond the arc in the opening quarter. His five missed 3-pointers ties for his most misses from long distance in a quarter of a playoff game in his career. (He has done so three times, including tonight, according to ESPN Stats & Information.)

Chris Haynes ESPN Staff Writer

Golden State went on an 11-0 run to end the first quarter. They lead Houston 31-22.

Rough first quarter for Chris Paul: no points, no assists, two turnovers, minus-12 in 8:19
