It's already December, and as a wise man once sang "it's the most wonderful time of the year" - and not just because Christmas is around the corner ... Week 8 of the NBA is set to be a cracker on ESPN and ESPN2.

Tune in to ESPN on Thursday at 12.15pm (AEDT) when Ben Simmons and the Philadelphia 76ers head north to face Kawhi Leonard and the Toronto Raptors. That match is followed at 2.35pm (AEDT) by a massive Western conference matchup; the San Antonio Spurs head to the Staples Center to face LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers.

Friday's action kicks off at midday (AEDT) and is headlined by the New York Knicks heading to the Garden (the TD Garden, that is!) to face Terry Rozier, Aron Baynes and the Boston Celtics, while later at 2.30pm (AEDT), the Houston Rockets visit Salt Lake City to take on Joe Ingles, Donovan Mitchell and the Utah Jazz.

The weekend kicks off at 11.15am (AEDT) on Saturday when the 76ers visit the Motor City to take on Blake Griffin at the Detroit Pistons, while at 1.35pm (AEDT), the Golden State Warriors have their work cut out for them when they visit the Milwaukee Bucks.

On Sunday, tune in at midday (AEDT) for the Lakers and Memphis Grizzlies from the FedEx Forum.
