Lone Div. I independent NJIT joins Atlantic Sun

NCAA men's and women's basketball no longer has any independent institutions now that the New Jersey Institute of Technology agreed Friday to join the Atlantic Sun Conference.

NJIT to join Atlantic Sun Conference

NJIT, which has been the only NCAA Division I independent athletic program since 2013-14 when the Great West Conference disbanded, will host a news conference on Friday to announce it will join the Atlantic Sun Conference.
