Big Ten to move to 20-game conference slate

In an effort to create more excitement for fans, the Big Ten officially decided it will move from an 18-game conference slate in men's basketball to a 20-game schedule next season.

Bronson Koenig will sign a contract with the Chicago Bulls today, a league source informed ESPN. The 6'3 combo guard was an All-Big Ten Conference player at Wisconsin in each of the past two seasons, shooting 39% from beyond the arc for his college career. Bulls coach Fred Hoiberg had recruited Koenig out of high school when he was the head coach of Iowa State. Koenig had originally signed a two-way contract with the Milwaukee Bucks in July, but was released last week. He will sign an exhibit nine training camp contract with the Bulls and will be one of a half dozen players competing for their two remaining active roster spots.
