OT defeat to Furman has No. 8 Nova on rare skid

Defending national champion Villanova lost its second game in a row on Saturday, falling to Furman 76-68 in overtime three days after being blown out by No. 18 Michigan.

Furman just beat Villanova — at Villanova — in overtime. Villanova loses back-to-back games for the first time in six seasons. And Furman has now beaten two of last year's Final Four teams. Villanova really struggled with its halfcourt offense down the stretch. Worth noting five-star freshman point guard Jahvon Quinerly didn't get a single minute.
