ITTA BENA, Miss. -- Jordan Evans had 23 points on Monday night and Mississippi Valley State overcame a 13-point, first-half deficit to beat Alabama A&M 77-67.
The Delta Devils (2-22, 2-9 Southwestern Athletic Conference) took control in the middle of the second half with a 16-3 run to lead 58-50. The Bulldogs (2-22, 2-9) cut the deficit to 59-55 but got no closer than five down the stretch.
Alabama A&M opened the game with a 22-9 lead and led again by 13 two more times, the latest at 27-14. Mississippi Valley State went on a 13-4 run from there and closed the deficit completely by halftime.
AD Bjork leaves Ole Miss for Texas A&M job
