Kenny has only been shooting for about seven years. He first picked up a shotgun and messed around with it a few years ago. He says a lot of his friends grew up hunting and shooting, and he sometimes wishes he had started sooner, too. His dad tried to get him involved when he was about 20, but it wasn't until he tried again when Kenny was about 29 that he got hooked. He says that it was slow progress at first, but his skill has quickly accelerated.

When asked if the cameras and crowds would be a distraction, Kenny said, "I think it's going to be great. I'm used to five or six people watching . If I win or tie in a competition, maybe I'll have about 30 people. I've heard there may be a few thousand in Madison. I need to work on my nerves. My goal - to win it. Other than that, I'd like to be in the top four and get back in there next year."
