Notable
Jerry is a firearms instructor, so he has a lot of time to watch people's techniques. He likes to watch them as they step up to the line to see how they are going to shoot and to pick up new techinques. He can tell from how a person is standing at the line how he/she is going to shoot. He likes to see what they are doing to help him prepare to shoot. It gives him a good sense of his competition.
Quotable
Jerry says that it's important, "...to have a good qualifying time, because it makes competitors take notice." He also feels, "...it's not good to stay too consistent with your times, because you need to learn to have that passing gear when the time comes to pass people."He feels, "You need to have that extra juice to kick it up and that juice comes with years of experience. The difference between a good club shooter and one who can do it on command is about 10 years."
