Jon is a professional shooter and he also does trick shooting shows when he's not competing. He says that he performs all over the country performing for a lot of charities. He has been competing at the Great Outdoor Games since 2000, except for last year when he was competing for the US at the World FITASC Championships.

When asked what his strenght was coming into GOG V, he said, "...my experience is my strength. I don't get all wound up."He says, "Shooting at night is different, but I'm not nervous. It's great to see the crowds. They are not a distraction. They actually have the opposite effect. They make you excited to be out there shooting."
