During the course of the year in 1996, Randy drove over a total of 20,000 miles to compete in various competitions. He felt burnt out for a while and took a little time away for about a year after that. In the past 3-4 years he has really come back to the sport because he missed the family of friends he found while competing. He says it is that "family" that really brought him back.
