Notable
Vince says that when he trains with his brother, Mike, they go through about 10,000 rounds of ammo - about 2 cases. They use different ammo for practice and competition - need higher quality for competition (plus the cost per case for higher quality can be around $800, so they use a less expensive one for practice). The maker of their practice ammo starting using different wax which was jamming their rifles. They will find something that works this year when they train in the three weeks leading up to the Games.
Quotable
Vince says that, "When you practice, you pick times when you re-load to look over and see what the other guy is doing. I decide to concentrate on his targets or mine. You hear the gun going off, but just because he's shooting alot doesn't mean he's hitting the target." He does this in competition, similiar to his brother Mike.
