Breaking: Jorge Lara (29-0-2, 21 KOs) hurt his back at the gym on Tuesday working off the weight for his featherweight world title eliminator against Joseph Diaz (24-0, 13 KOs) and is out of the fight, which was supposed to be the final undercard bout of the Canelo Alvarez-Gennady Golovkin HBO PPV card on Saturday night at T-Mobile Arena. Shortly after Lara dropped off the card, Golden Boy lined up Mexico's Rafael Rivera (25-0-2, 16 KOs) to take his place. Rivera was training for another fight next week and quickly accepted the assignment against Diaz. However, it has not yet been determined if the fight will see be sanctioned as a WBC eliminator for the mandatory shot against world titleholder Gary Russell Jr.
