Potentially bad news for Georgia, as star left tackle Andrew Thomas was helped off the field early in the second half at South Carolina. True freshman Case Mays moved into his spot.

Georgia caught a huge break early at South Carolina. Bulldogs defensive back Deandre Baker intercepted a deflected pass and returned it 56 yards for a pick-6. But TV replays showed him dropping the ball before he crossed the goal line. Fortunately for UGA, linebacker Juwan Taylor picked it up. The play wasn't reviewed by officials.

South Carolina defensive end D.J. Wonnum is wearing a boot and using a scooter on the sideline. He will miss Saturday's SEC opener against No. 3 Georgia. He led the Gamecocks with 13 tackles for loss and 6 sacks last season.
