TAB Betting Blog: Morris to score first as traditional rivals clash

Stadium Australia, Friday night

The marquee matchup for the NRL this weekend is without doubt the Bunnies versus the Roosters. Traditional rivals, this game is always heated and this one will be no exception with both sides having started the season well.

The Roosters are unbeaten and were on top of the table after two rounds and have looked pretty good in disposing of the Sea Eagles and Tigers.

Souths did well to recover after being blown away early by Melbourne but still lost that one, while they did what they had to against Manly last week.

From what I have seen so far I have to put my money on the chooks. They have looked really good and did the job for us last week when James Tedesco crossed over for a try.

Plus, I reckon there will be a of venom to the Roosters side this week after they got smashed in this fixture in the backend of last season. On that occasion, Souths racked up a whopping 60-8 scoreline which basically put paid to the Roosters chances of winning three straight premierships.

So it's the Roosters for mine with Brett Morris, who has hat-tricks in the opening two games, to score first for a bit of value.

TIP: Roosters (H2H) @ $1.62

TIP: Brett Morris (first try scorer) @ $8
